Nowadays it has become common to see someone accurately predicting things at big sporting events before they happen. A person with an X account @DonMateo_X14 has predicted that Mohammed Shami would pick seven wickets in the World Cup semifinal against New Zealand just because he saw it in his dream.
The person had made the prediction on Tuesday (November 14) while the match was played on Wednesday (November 15). “Saw a dream where Shami took 7 wickets in the semi final,” he wrote.
And surprisingly, that is what happened eventually as Shami ran through the top-order of the Kiwis, picking seven wickets for 57 runs in 9.5 overs. The top five batters of New Zealand were all dismissed by Shami.

An eager user asked him to predict her future as well. “Please take a good nap and dream about my future,” a user asked. “What were you cooking,” said another. “Sleep tight and dream that I’m watching the final of 2023 World Cup from the stadium,” wrote a third. “Here before this become viral,” said a fourth.

Another fan’s Facebook post from 2012 in which he had predicted that Virat Kohli will break Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most ODI centuries has also been going viral.
Shiju Balanandan had posted on Facebook on July 22, 2012, that Virat Kohli will break Sachin’s record in ODI hundreds. At the time, Kohli had just smashed his 12th ODI hundred against Sri Lanka.
Joy Bhattacharjya, a quizzer and sports producer, took to X, formerly Twitter, to share Balanandan’s story. He said the fan kept on updating till Kohli’s 33rd century. Kohli had scored his 33rd hundred against South Africa on February 1, 2018. Sadly, Balanandan passed away around that time but his friends kept on updating Kohli’s centuries and eventually their friend’s prediction came true.
