Thunderstorms and heavy rain are forecast to affect parts of the UAE from Monday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM has warned of rainfall, lightning and thunder on Monday and Tuesday across various parts of the Emirates. It’s expected that rain will fall in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman
Lower temperatures, wind speeds of up to 50kph and rough seas are also expected.
The adverse weather follows a yellow weather alert issued by the NCM on Thursday.
The weather bureau says the adverse conditions are owing to a surface low-pressure system from the southwest, accompanied by cold westerly winds.
