U.S. stocks are heading into the Thanksgiving holiday week with some momentum, having registered gains on Friday and for the week, helped by better-than-expected earnings from the likes of Target and Macy’s.

Investors have three full days of stock trading this week, with normal hours from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET for the NYSE, owned by Intercontinental Exchange and the Nasdaq MarketSite.

BLACK FRIDAY
The following day, Black Friday, is the official kickoff for the shopping season, and U.S. stocks will be open on an abbreviated schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. Retail stocks, including Walmart, Target, Amazon and Macy’s, could be active as data begins to trickle with regard to overall consumer spending up through Cyber Monday.
