Rare rainfall catches residents off guard

Rain has been falling across parts of the UAE on Monday, including Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain.

The rainfall comes amid the National Centre of Meteorology having issued yellow and orange warnings for parts of the Emirates. Earlier, the NCM predicted light to heavy rains for parts of the UAE.

In a series of posts on social network X on Monday afternoon, the NCM also highlighted how rain had been falling across Al Ain, Sharjah and Dubai. Rainfall has also been reported in Ras Al-Khaimah

In Dubai, rain was reported to have fallen along Emirates Road, Town Square and the Arabian Ranches area.

On Sunday, heavy thunderstorms were reported in Sharjah, Al Faya, Al Dhaid, Maleha, Madam and Umm Al Quwain.
