Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will be in Surat on Thursday to conduct a survey of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway portion (Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway) that passes through the Surat district.
Gadkari will conduct an aerial and road survey of the work on the expressway.
Sources said Gadkari will also visit and examine a 100-kilometre stretch of National Highway 53. On Wednesday Gadkari along with Chief minister Bhupendra Patel inspected the works on the NH 48 near Rasulpur village of Sabarkantha district.
The minister will also speak with officials to know about traffic conditions and the steps to be taken to address them in the future. He will also do an aerial survey of 200-km of Vadodara Mumbai-Express Highway passing through Surat district.
He will travel on the road from Palsana in Surat district to Valsad on National Highway 53.
The Union Minister will leave for Delhi later in the afternoon.
