GITEX Global and Expand North Star are set to fuel the growth of the global artificial intelligence (AI) economy by 2032, which is set to hit a $621bn valuation in 2024 and soar to a record $2.7tn by the end of the decade, according to Fortune Business Insights.

Following the wildfire pace of AI adoption and the unprecedented growth in data storage demand, the 44th edition of GITEX Global is set to redefine the world’s digital economy and AI ecosystem.

With over 6,500 exhibiting companies, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries participating across 38 halls of innovation and business opportunities, the event will see the UAE “strategically propel the next generation of AI-driven technologies”.

The country’s strategic focus on AI is evident in GITEX’s scale and scope, as the event provides a platform to showcase cutting-edge innovations and foster international collaboration.

The upcoming GITEX Global 2024, themed “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,” is set to feature a star-studded lineup, including global tech enterprises, governments, investors, experts, startups, and researchers.

Notable participants include Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council, G42 Group, Adobe, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Dell, Google, Huawei, Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle, and Salesforce. The impressive roster of exhibitors underscores the event’s significance as a platform for showcasing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and fostering international partnerships.

“With international participation in GITEX Global 2024 rocketing by almost 40 per cent, it’s a barometer of the unstoppable ambitions of many young rising digital nations who are now confidently forging their ways into the future global AI economy through GITEX,” said Trixie LohMirmand, executive vice president of DWTC.

“As the world’s most global tech event brand with events in Germany, Singapore, Morocco, and Nigeria alongside Expand North Star, we are committed to strategically propelling the next generation of AI-driven technologies via startups, scale-ups and unicorns.”

GITEX GLOBAL 2024 marks its largest-ever international participation, welcoming over 400 government and digital agencies and showcasing innovations from new participants such as Austria, Singapore, and Kazakhstan.

The event will deliver over 120 hours of AI-focused content and launch the region’s largest Data Centre Symposium ahead of the all-new AI Everything Global 2025.

Meanwhile, Expand North Star, the world’s largest startup and investment show hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, is running concurrently at Dubai Harbour from October 13-16.

“Expand North Star offers the ideal platform for bringing together strategic partners from the public and private sectors, investors, accelerators, and startups. The event reflects our commitment to empowering startups and strengthening the digital economy’s contribution to achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33,” said Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.

With over 1,800 exhibiting startups and 1,200 investors representing more than 100 countries and managing assets exceeding $1tn, Expand North Star provides a dynamic platform for startups to connect with potential investors and showcase their innovative solutions. The impressive participation highlights the event’s role in fostering growth and development within the startup ecosystem.
