EasyLease secures majority stake in Gallega Global Logistics

EasyLease, a leader in UAE mobility solutions and a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), has announced the acquisition of a 51 per cent stake in Gallega Global Logistics, a major integrated logistics provider and subsidiary of Ghassan Aboud Group.

This acquisition marks EasyLease’s strategic entry into the logistics sector, encompassing Gallega’s expansive 3.5 million square feet of advanced logistics infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, along with facilities in Dubai.

The move aims to establish a fully integrated mobility and logistics ecosystem by combining the company’s tech-driven mobility solutions with Gallega’s established logistics network.

Ahmad Al Sadah, CEO of EasyLease, highlighted the acquisition as a pivotal moment in the company’s growth. “The regional market dynamics are evolving, and this move enables us to capitalise on the rapidly expanding UAE logistics sector. The acquisition not only enhances our competitive edge but also reaffirms EasyLease’s commitment to innovation and operational efficiency within the mobility sector.

“By integrating Gallega’s capabilities, we aim to expand our service offerings and access new markets, aligning with the UAE Industrial Strategy 2030 and positioning EasyLease as a key player in the MENA region’s logistics industry,” he said.

Gallega Global Logistics is known for its supply chain solutions across sectors like automotive, industrial, FMCG, healthcare, and retail, with operations spanning over 100 countries. In 2023 alone, it managed vehicle volumes exceeding 130,000 units.

The acquisition is set to foster advancements in technological integration, including artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) systems, enhancing operational efficiency and promoting scalable, sustainable logistics solutions.

The companies also plan to invest in next-generation mobility technologies and AI, aligning with the UAE’s vision for industrial innovation and bolstering its position as a central logistics hub in the MENA region.
