UAE residents now eligible for Morocco eVisa: How to apply

With the Eid break coming up, your bucket list destination of Casablanca or Marakech is just a click away as Morocco recently announced the availability of eVisas for those residing in the UAE.

The Moroccan Embassy in Abu Dhabi announced on March 4 that individuals with a valid Emirates ID card, including residents, can now apply for an electronic visa.

The announcement explained that the new provision aims to streamline the visa application process for those intending to travel to Morocco.

The change in application channels comes with reduced processing times as well. The express single-entry, 180 day visa, will be processed within one business day.

Here are the details:

eVisa fees for Morocco

There are two kinds of e-visas you can apply for:

  1. Standard – Dhs282.31

This single entry visa is valid for up to 180 days. Visa holders can stay in the country for up to 30 days. This visa can take up to 3 business days to process.

  1. Express – Dhs403.29

This single entry visa is also valid for a maximum of 180 days. Visa holders can stay in the country for up to 30 days. This visa will be processed in one business day.

Visa fees are non-refundable.

Visa conditions

The eVisa will be granted if the following conditions are met by the applicant:

  • Travelling for tourism purposes
  • Return ticket
  • Hotel reservation or an invitation
  • Sufficient financial funds to cover stay (Minimum: EUR70 per day )
  • Passport validity for duration of stay in Morocco

eVisa

Apply for the visa on the official website: https://www.acces-maroc.ma/ and click on ‘Apply for evisa’

Documents for the visa application:

  • Copy of your UAE residence visa. The visa must be valid for more than 180 days.
  • Copy of Emirates ID. The identity document must be valid for more than 180 days.
  • Passport copy. The passport must be valid for more than 90 days and most countries require a validity of 6 months.
  • Passport-sized photograph.

UAE nationals in Morocco

Citizens of the UAE do not require a visa to enter Morocco and can stay in the country for 90 days without one.
