A Qatar official says there is no ceasefire deal for Gaza yet

Oil and risk assets have been bouncing around after Al Jazeera first reported on a ceasefire and then deleted the tweet.

Now, Reuters reports that a Qatari official told them there is no ceasefire deal yet for Gaza. The key word there may be ‘yet’ … or not. The official said that Hamas ‘received the proposal positively’ but it has not responded yet.

“There is still a very tough road in front of us,” the Qatari spokesman said.
