The African Software as a Service (SaaS) ecosystem continues to gain momentum as startups develop scalable, cloud-based solutions across fintech, logistics, healthtech and enterprise productivity. This expansion is being driven by a growing number of venture capital firms that are actively funding the next generation of software companies across the continent.

According to the latest data compiled by Shizune.co, the ranking of the top 50 venture capital funds investing in SaaS startups in Africa reflects the number of publicly disclosed SaaS-related investments made by each firm as of September 2025. The list is updated monthly to capture the continent’s dynamic investment landscape.

LoftyInc Capital, Launch Africa, and Ventures Platform remain the three most active SaaS investors in Africa, consistently backing early-stage software companies that are shaping digital transformation. Microtraction and 54 Collective continue to play a pivotal role in nurturing founders across Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana, providing capital and mentorship to promising startups.

Meanwhile, global funds such as Partech, Tencent and SOSV demonstrate growing international confidence in Africa’s SaaS market, signalling a new wave of cross-border investment activity. The presence of both local early-stage venture capital firms and international investment institutions highlights the growing maturity and depth of the African SaaS ecosystem.

This ranking, based on verified data from Shizune.co, tracks global venture activity and provides a monthly overview of investor engagement in Africa’s SaaS sector. All figures represent the total number of publicly disclosed SaaS investments made by each fund as of September 2025.
