SSC CHSL 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification against the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2025. The SSC CHSL recruitment will fill a total of 3,131 vacancies in multiple departments. The application process started on June 23 and will continue till July 18. Online fee can, however, be paid by candidates up to July 19. Candidates can register at ssc.gov.in.
SSC CHSL will be held in two tiers. While tier 1 will be held from September 8 to 18, tier 2 of SSC CHSL 2025 exam will be held in February-March, 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will be appointed to various Group ‘C’ posts like lower divisional clerk, junior secretariat assistant and data entry operators in various ministries, departments, offices of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies and tribunals.
The crucial date to determine the age is January 1, 2026. The candidates who have appeared in their Class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply, however they must possess the essential qualification on or before the cutoff date – January 1, 2026.
Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the new website of SSC – ssc.gov.in or through my SSC mobile application which can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
All the candidates who wish to apply and have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website – ssc.gov.in will be required to do so as the earlier OTR generated on the old website – ssc.nic.in will not be functional for the new website. Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination. Once an OTR has been generated on the new website, it will continue to remain valid for all the examinations to be applied for on the new website.
The candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication, in terms of Aadhaar Policy as published on the website of the Commission, while completing their OTR process. The application(s) of the candidates who opt for Aadhaar Authentication will not be rejected on the ground that photograph and/or signature uploaded by the candidate are not as per prescribed standards. Such candidates will not be required to produce recent colour photographs or original valid photo-identity proof for admission to the examination venue at the time of the exam.
