Real estate firm Prestige Estates Projects Ltd’s sales bookings have declined 38 per cent to ₹10,065.7 crore during the April-December period of this fiscal year as it launched fewer housing projects due to delay in regulatory approvals. Bengaluru-based Prestige Estates is one of the leading real estate developers of the country. According to its latest investors presentation, the company sold 8.09 million (80.9 lakh) sq ft area at an average sales realisation of ₹13,128 per sq ft during the first nine months of the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Global e-commerce giant Amazon on Saturday sold shares of business services provider Quess Corp for ₹46 crore through an open market transaction, while promoter billionaire Prem Watsa promoted Fairfax Capital increased its holding in the company. The US-based Amazon, through its investment arm Amazon.com NV Investment Holdings, offloaded 7.54 lakh shares or 0.50 per cent stake in Bengaluru-based Quess Corp at an average price of ₹610.20, Meanwhile, Fairfax Financial Holdings’ affiliate Fairbridge Capital (Mauritius) and Ajit Isaac (Chairman of Quess Corp), the two promoters of Quess Corp, increased their holdings, by picking up an additional 3.77 lakh shares of the company each.
Coal India Ltd (CIL) has reported its first monthly production de-growth in the current fiscal with the miner’s output reducing by 0.8 per cent year-on-year in January. The company produced 77.8 million tonnes (MT) of coal in January as compared to 78.4 MT in the year-ago month. Despite the January production decline, CIL’s management remains optimistic about achieving strong growth in the February-March period of the current fiscal, an official said. In December 2024, Coal India’s production increased by 5.25 per cent year-on-year.
Global pharma major Lupin Ltd (Lupin) has announced that the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) has completed a Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI) of Edaravone Oral Suspension, 105 mg/ 5 mL at its manufacturing facility in Somerset, New Jersey. The inspection was carried out from January 28 to February 1, 2025, and concluded with zero 483 observations.
Happiest Minds Technologies has informed the exchanges that it has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire 100 per cent stake in Gavs Technologies Ltd’s West Asia business through the acquisition of InnovazIT Technologies LLC, Dubai, Gavs Technologies LLC, Oman and Gavs Technologies Saudi Arabia for Telecommunications and Information Technology, Saudi Arabia for a cash consideration of $1.7 million. The acquisition is likely to be completed by March 15, 2025.
Hazoor Multi Projects plans to invest ₹2,500 crore in a 500 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district across 2,000 acres. The state government, through NREDCAP, will aid the project’s execution and has requested a detailed project report from the company. HMPL recently launched 1.2 GW renewable energy projects in Maharashtra.
