The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather indicating that potential dust storms and rainfall are expected across the country. The forecast is for the period from Wednesday, November 27, to Friday, November 29.
The NCM’s weather alert indicates that rain will hit parts of Abu Dhabi late at night on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, rainy conditions may extend to the coastal areas of Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates before moving towards Ras Al Khaimah.
“Starting late Wednesday night, cloud cover will gradually increase over Western regions, extending towards coastal and island areas and some Northern and Eastern parts. The increase in cloudiness may bring rain showers on Thursday,” the NCM said in a statement.
“The cloud cover will decrease gradually on Friday, by noon time, with a drop in temperatures.”

The weather report shows that the UAE will expect wind at times. “Winds will shift from southeasterly to northeasterly, then to northwesterly. These winds will be moderate to strong, with occasional gusts, especially over the sea. This windy weather may lead to dust and sandstorms on land, reducing visibility at times,” the NCM said.
Sea conditions are expected to be “rough to very rough” on Thursday and Friday in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.
