After watching the Senate process to begin the impeachment trial, it occurred to me the fallacy of all of it. This isn’t a trial based mostly on the rule of legislation or the Structure.
Twenty of the Senators who’re on the “jury” are up for reelection in 2022. Their place has nothing to do with the info, solely their campaigns. Any trial rooted in legislation would have eradicated them from sitting on a jury.
