Austria is opening up a part of its reserves of gas. Releasing
112,000 tons of diesel & 56,000 tons of gasoline to cowl lack of manufacturing at a key refinery. The plant was hit by whats described as a ‘mechanical incident’ on Friday.
Data comes by way of Reuters, including:
- launch needs to be sufficient to cowl the lack of manufacturing on the refinery for 14 days, the federal government mentioned.
- Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer:
“Regardless of this incident, the safety of gas provide is assured, so nobody want fear. There are nonetheless sufficient reserves out there if the necessity arises.”
